JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez was born 11 August 1985 in Sri Lanka. She is a model and actress. She has been in Indian film, mostly in Hindi along with appearing in reality shows and music videos. Since her 2009 debut with Aladin, she has been a successful actress in Hindi film. Fernandez is the child of an ethnically diverse Eurasian family that includes the mother of a Canadian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian mother. She was born and was raised in Bahrain as a citizen of the country. After graduating with a degree in mass communication at the University of Sydney and working as a television reporter in Sri Lanka, she joined the modeling business. In 2006 she was Miss Universe Sri Lanka and was the country's representative in Miss Universe 2006. In the month of December 2021 Fernandez has been subjected to an investigation into a money laundering case involving more than Rs200 million. Fernandez was questioned for ten hours by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), as part of the investigation, on 9/12/2021. Fernandez's request to downgrade of the Lookout Circular, (LOC) which she received in her instance, that prohibits her from traveling outside India was rejected by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 22nd December.
