Carey, who is almost 5'10" tall and was once an iconic American modeling model. Designers of the top calibre, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren loved her. Her father is an accomplished scientist who was named Scientist of the Year back in 1979, at the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was educated throughout the world due to her father's work. While in college she started modeling for a small amount of time and was able to attract the attention of Ford model Agency representatives in New York. In the year 1980, she emigrated to France for a brief period of time, and lived in Paris as well as Bordeaux, before returning back to New York in order to continue an acting career. Her work was showcased on Vogue and Glamour covers. While modeling, she also attended New York University full-time to earn a master's degree in literature. She became more interested in acting, and began training in the Neighborhood Playhouse of New York. Her debut as an actor was a role alongside Robin Williams in the 1986 film "Club Pardise. She enjoys rock climbing as well as skiing and windsurfing.
